There are some things in this life that are just unavoidable and getting older is one of them. It is completely natural to do so but it doesn’t mean that we have to be happy about it. The vast majority of us are hoping that science makes the breakthrough and finds a way to at least slow the ageing process down or to stop it completely. Until that time comes however, we need to keep doing what we can to look younger than we actually are and that will hopefully give us higher confidence.
Some of the first places that you notice signs of getting older are on your body and particularly your face. Thankfully we can turn to modern technology like radio frequency skin tightening that can take off the years and make us look considerably younger. Your face is one of the first things that people look at when they meet you for the first time and damage over the years caused by sun and poor diet choices does take its toll.
If you still want to defy the years and look much older than you actually are then try incorporating the following into your life.
- Change out your wardrobe – This refers to the clothes that you wear and if you’re going to continue to wear old man and all lady clothes then you’re going to look your actual age. You can make smart choices without looking ridiculous and a simple thing like a neck scarf can hide the wrinkles on your neck. Nobody is saying that you shouldn’t wear clothes that are appropriate for your age but maybe choose some brighter colours for a change.
- Pay attention to your face – If you like to wear make-up every day then take the time to apply your make-up so that it covers wrinkles at the side of your eyes, hides dark patches under your eyes and helps to cover up any deep lines in your skin. Don’t forget that you can always turn to modern procedures like skin tightening to take the years off as well.
- Take proper care of your skin – If you haven’t started yet, start applying moisturiser to your skin first thing in the morning when you wake up and last thing before you go to bed at night. This is particularly important advice for the male of the species and if you start soon, you can actually take 5 to 10 years off your look. Keep yourself properly hydrated at all times and squeeze in regular exercise for at least five days a week.
Try to keep out of direct sunlight as much as possible and invest in a wide brimmed hat that protects all of your face. If you currently are a smoker of cigarettes, stop as soon as possible and stop driving around the city with your windows down allowing all of that pollution to come inside where it does real harm.
